What size skip do I need?

The size depends on the amount of waste you have. 2–4 Yard Skip – Small DIY jobs and garden waste. 6 Yard Skip – Kitchen or bathroom renovations. 8 Yard Skip – House clearances and larger building projects. 10–16 Yard Skip – Bulky but lightweight waste from commercial or construction projects. If you're unsure, our team can recommend the right size.

How long can I keep the skip?

Skip hire periods are 7–14 days, but longer hire periods can usually be arranged. Contact us if you need to extend your hire.

Do I need a permit?

You need a permit if the skip will be placed on a public road or pavement. If the skip is on private property, such as a driveway, no permit is required. We can arrange the permit on your behalf. Can I mix different types of waste? Yes, most general household and construction waste can be mixed. However, hazardous waste and certain restricted items must be disposed of separately.

How full can I fill the skip?

Waste must not exceed the top edge of the skip. Overfilled skips cannot legally be transported and may need to be partially emptied before collection.

How quickly can you deliver?

We offer same-day or next-day delivery, subject to availability.

Do I need to be at home for delivery?

Not always. If you provide clear delivery instructions and access is available, the skip can usually be delivered without you being present.

How do I book a skip?

What happens to my waste?

Your waste is taken to a our licensed waste transfer facility where it is sorted. Wherever possible, recyclable materials are separated to reduce landfill.

Can I move the skip after delivery?

No. Once placed, skips should not be moved. If it needs relocating, please contact us.

What if the skip is full before collection?

Simply contact us and we'll arrange an earlier collection or exchange the full skip for an empty one.

Can I hire more than one skip?

Yes. Multiple skips can be supplied for larger domestic, commercial or construction projects.

What payment methods do you accept?

Debit cards, Credit cards, Bank transfer & Online payments. Business account customers may also be eligible for invoicing or a credit account.

Do you offer commercial skip hire?

Yes. We provide skip hire for builders, tradespeople, offices, retail premises, schools, landlords and construction sites.

Can I put heavy materials like soil or concrete in any skip?

Heavy materials such as soil, hardcore, bricks and concrete should only be placed in smaller skips up to 6 Yards to avoid exceeding vehicle weight limits.

What if I accidentally put prohibited items in the skip?

Please let us know as soon as possible. We can advise on safe removal and disposal. Additional charges may apply for prohibited or hazardous items.

Are your skips environmentally friendly?

We aim to recycle as much waste as possible through our own licensed waste management facility, helping to minimise the amount sent to landfill.
